Keratoconus (aka KC) (from Greek kerato- horn, cornea; and konos cone) is a degenerative disorder of the eye in which structural changes within the cornea cause it to thin and change to a more conical (cone) shape than its normal gradual curve. KC is a very frustrating eye disorder in which many patients endure years of misdiagnosis, like myself. The purpose of this blog is to give patients and supporters an everyday perspective of what it's like to live with KC.
